… when game designer Wolfgang Warsch had a brilliant idea and brought “The Mind” to life.
With a concept that is still unique today The Mind inspires people all over the world.
In this cooperative card game, non-communication is everything. Round after round, you try to lay out your number cards in the correct order. However, agreements can only be made through “thought transfer”. Blind understanding and a sixth sense for the right moment will bring you together to the highest level.
With The Mind – Extreme and The Mind – Soulmates the game has now become a whole family of games covering every level of challenge. Let’s go on a journey of thought in this blog…
2018
The Mind – The original
The original –nominated for Game of the Year 2018 and awarded the As d’Or 2019!
The Mind is more than just a game. It’s an experiment, a journey, totally simple and the most brilliant team experience you can have. If you beat the last level together, you’ll be on cloud nine. You are not allowed to collude or exchange information. And yet it works – if you really become ONE. Only with the help of your thoughts…
The game principle is explained quite simply:
All players form a team. In the first round (level 1), everyone receives 1 card, in the second round (level 2) everyone receives 2 cards, and so on. In each level, the team must place all the cards that the other players have in their hands in ascending order in the middle of the table in a face-up pile, one after the other. For example (4 players, level 1): 18-34-41-73. There is no player order. If you want to play a card, play it – as long as you have the feeling that it is the next highest card in the round. Once all the cards in your hand have been successfully played, you have completed the level and move on to the next task.
2019
The Mind – EXTREME

Just one year after the publication of the award-winning bestseller The Mind The Mind – EXTREME:
The original rules are completely retained here, but the time now runs twice, synchronously and in the opposite direction. There are two stacks that have to be played simultaneously, one ascending, one descending and some levels even “blind”. This further increases the challenge to the collective sense of time. Incredible and spectacular – only with the help of your thoughts!
2021
In 2021, the NSV has decided to launch a new version of our classic – this time completely plastic-free! This means: 100% fun with 100% sustainability – that’s the principle behind our NATURELINE product line.
In addition to plastic-free packaging – inside and out – only sustainable, environmentally friendly water-based paints and varnishes are used for the play materials.

The Mind – SOULMATES
March 2023 saw a new addition to The Mind series: The Mind – Soulmates!
The Mind – Soulmates picks up on the basic principle of the original and presents you with a new challenge as a team.
12 levels – 0 communication.
In Soulmates, the cards in your hand must be placed face down in ascending order. But only the sighted person knows more! One person supports the team as the sighted person and is allowed to look at cards in advance to give the team valuable clues. Everything else is done secretly, covertly and only with the help of your thoughts. Do you know each other well enough to master the challenge?
